The St. Maarten National Basketball Association is an organization for the sport of basketball between the ages of 8 to 50 years who seek Recreational, Competitive and also High performance on the Local, Regional & International scene and eventually having our youth program developed in a manner that would assist our young athletes obtain scholarships to take them to the next level in any field that they so desire. Our Mission is to lead, train and develop young men and women to compete on a higher level in sports, education and in social activities. In addition SXMNBA is committed to developing the youths in becoming strong leaders by supporting and assisting them at the highest level athletically, academically and socially.

 

Basketball is a wonderful activity that keeps youths engaged and moving, there are so many benefits to the game, especially for the youths. When the youths are involved with sports they tend to stay out of trouble, do better in school and stay healthy and in shape and learn life building skills such as how to be more assertive, time management, commitment, confidence and athletic ability, and teamwork.

 

The vision of SXMNBA is to provide an environment to develop our young athletes into elite performers. SXMNBA goals in sports are to participate in the Dutch Caribbean Games, Kingdom Games, CBC Games and eventually the World Junior Championships.

We however are fully aware that this is not possible without the assistance and support of the general public to ensure that our programs are sustainable and produce results that would be able to guarantee the objectives of SXMNBA are achievable.
